Bec Seabrooke
If you're a fan of 1079 Life Good Taste Breakfast, you'll probably already feel you know Bec as a good friend.
Bec is a graduate of AFTRS, and is currently doing Masters studies in Christian leadership.
In her spare time Bec loves to lose herself in the kitchen, as the creative genius behind Sugar & Crumb.
Apart from looking after her darling Mia, (her Jack Russell cross) and her other darling Zac, she is also serious about looking after any newcomers here at Blakes, as the face of our welcoming team at BCCChurch.
So don't be shy, come along and say Hi! Bec would love you to make yourself known.
Zac Spencer
Zac's day-job is Production Manager at Life FM. He recently left Good Taste Breakfast due to study pressures. Zac is qualified in IT, and also has a Ministry diploma from ACM. He is currently doing dual degrees in Teaching and Evolutionary Biology at Adelaide Uni. At church he is our go-to guy for Tech.
He also made himself the go-to guy for quality taste testing for Sugar & Crumb.
But most of all, if you have questions about whether or not the Christian faith stands up under scrutiny as reasonable, he's your go-to guy to get some great answers.
Sarah George
Sarah lived in Lebanon for 7 years before returning to Oz in 2001. Though raised in a Catholic home Sarah didn’t know much about God. Her life spiralled downwards until a friend invited her to church. Today she radiates joy & thanks to God for rescuing her from the dark empty place she was in.
Sarah has a diploma in Christian Counselling. She has worked at Centrelink, as well as at Hope Christian College as a chaplain. She & Solly have two beautiful girls, Annabelle and Brielle. Sarah loves being creative and sells her hand-crafts from home while she raises her girls to love Jesus.
Solomon George
Solly's family originally came from Sierra Leone as refugees in 2004. Despite having Christian upbringing, it wasn't until he was 16 that he came to the Lord as the rock and foundation of his life.
Solly has a degree in Social Work. In 2016 he began working at Hope Christian College in student well-being. He recently set up a community housing project with Craigmore Christian Church.
Solly is devoted to his lovely wife Sarah, and his two beautiful daughters. He is a gifted singer and guitarist. We are blessed to have him as our Director of Worship and as an elder in our church.
Chris Sharrock
Chris is wonderfully gifted pastorally. He is a deeply caring person with great sensitivity and insight, especially with those struggling with mental health, where he was trained and worked as a carer.
Chris has a fun-loving sense of humour, and always has time to brighten the day of for those who need a word of encouragement. People matter to Chris, and he is a great asset to our team in helping us be like Jesus in caring for people unconditionally and with authenticity. Chris is currently undertaking diploma in Biblical Counselling at ACCS.
He is married to Rachelle who is the perfect soul-mate to partner with him in his ministry. He also has a son Jeremy and a daughter Shaylee.
Rachelle Sharrock
Rachelle's faith-journey began later in life. Even from childhood Rachelle had many challenges. But it was not until her daughter was starting school she had a stirring to understand more about her husband's faith and began studying the bible with some friends. After many months of wrestling with God she eventually found freedom from the strongholds which had kept her in spiritual and emotional bondage for years. Her transformation was amazing as she laid hold of the powerful truth about who she now was in Christ.
Since then life has not been easy for Rachelle, but she learned that God's grace is most powerfully released when He leads us through the fire rather than taking us out of it. Her story was has been an inspiration. Rachelle's gentle humility, her quite spirit and her genuine serving love continues to be a great blessing to many who are stuggling.
Marg Spencer
Marg has been involved in various ministries for over 40 years, including children, youth, young adults, women and for the 23+ years partnering with Jeff in pastoring a local church. Trained as a nurse and working in that profession for 27 years, she now works in Christian education with children with learning difficulties in Christian School.
Marg has a heart for people in need. She also has delighted in sharing the story of Jesus love with many school parents over the years through "Christianity Explained".
Marg and Jeff are parents to Chloe (with husband Nathan) and Zac (with wife Bec) and doting grandparents of Victoria, Monique and Lili!
Jeff Spencer
I first heard the gospel when I was 15. From the moment I found Christ in high school I had a passion to share the love of Jesus. My days at Uni from 1974-79 with the Navigators laid a deep foundation in evangelism and discipleship, areas in which I later lectured at ACM for 11 years from 1984-95.
In 1999 I became Senior Pastor at Craigmore Christian Church, until 2022 when I was appointed Vice Principal of the Australian College of Christian Studies.
Jeff serves on various national boards, including Christian Community Ministries, ACCS, and the Centre for Biblical Counselling. He also represents Christian Community Churches of Australia on the National Faith Leaders Consultative Committee, on matters of religious freedom. He holds degrees in Engineering from Adelaide University, and in Ministry from Adelaide College of Ministry, and an M.Th. from Sydney College of Divinity.
